🌈 The Designer 🌤️
Hi, I’m Widya! a designer with an affinity for creating colorful designs. I joined VDA’s first cohort to stretch my creative muscles and make more friendships in the design community at UCSD! Check out everything I did this past 12 weeks:
I wanted to create a logo to represent my personal brand: fluidity, versitality, and the idea of existing in different forms. I combined my initials ‘M’ and ‘W’ so the logo would look like it could be an ‘M’ or ‘W’ at the same time. To push the idea of fluidity even further, I created two different versions: one with sharper edges, and another with curved/softer edges.
My designs were influenced by the grid-like motifs of Batik, a traditional Indonesian textile method as a nod to my heritage.

For week 2, we designed UI screens. I created a splash screen and login pages for a time keeping application called ‘Ecotime’. Observing real applications really helped me with this assignment :)
